Kick-in the Abs: Key tips for amazing abs

by admin

Don’t worry. No one is actually going to get kicked in the abs as a result of this article. But people like you are going to get your ab definition to kick in, just like John Miller did. His story is a common one that I’m sure you can relate to. Let’s set the stage…

You spend an exorbitant amount of time in the gym, lifting weights, grunting and groaning, and doing everything in your power to get a sculpted, chiseled midsection. You get satisfactory results. You’re not afraid to take off your shirt in public, but you still don’t feel quite where you should be. You could even say you’re a little “sawft” in spots. Don’t freak out about it. The solution is on the way, but also let’s look at the possible reasons.

DIET

It should come as no surprise to you that diet is everything when it comes to building ab definition. In fact, that applies to definition in general. You just can’t get away with eating fast food and doughnuts, and expect to see any quality progress. Unless you’re some kind of freak of nature, you have a better chance of being struck by a meteorite.

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel, but just follow a diet that’s largely made up of whole foods, and eat small, balanced meals through the day. A balanced meal means there’s a portion of quality protein, complex carbs and healthy fat. A turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread with lettuce, tomato and avocado is a good example.

ALCOHOL

Another big mistake people make is they drink too much alcohol. Drinking too many calories can have just as negative an effect on your abs (or lack of them) as eating too many.

Aside from the excess calories, alcohol also blunts your testosterone levels and slows down your metabolism. This is not a good combination if you’re trying to build and maintain muscle.

Keep your intake in the low-to-no zone and you’ll be doing yourself a big favor. If you do drink, at least alternate with a glass of water to dull the effects. This will also help keep you hydrated and prevent your muscles from withering away.

INTENSITY

Be honest with yourself. Are you really working out at a high enough intensity? If you’re not, this will show in your muscles – they just won’t be ripped and defined. To achieve really good definition, you have to make every rep and set count. If you lazily do three sets of 10 per exercise, you’ll be stuck in purgatory forever. This is not where the cool kids hang out and it’s the last place you ever want to be!

Perform each rep and set with tenacity and resolve. Don’t get sloppy and use bad form, but work to a point where you’re breathing heavy and really feeling your muscles burn.

Remember, you have to go all out in the weight room to achieve great results with your physique. Plus, hard training boosts your metabolism which will increase your fat-burning rate while at rest.

SUPPLEMENTS

Let’s say you make all of the above adjustments; you train hard, you get sleep and you dial in your eating habits to a tee, but you still don’t see the results you want. Sometimes all the hard work in the world can only get you so far. In which case, it might be time for a boost by way of a cutting stack.

A stack is two or more supplements taken together to get an effect that is greater than each one individually. Think of it as 1 + 1 = 3. If you refer back to John Miller, he took Anadrol and Dianabol to achieve his amazing transformation.

Anadrol works by increasing your red blood cell count which is responsible for supplying more oxygen to your muscles while training.

D-Bol helps skyrocket your strength levels by storing nitrogen in your muscles and boosting protein synthesis. Nitrogen is a necessary building block of protein which in turn, is a building block of muscle.

Combine these two supplements together and you’ll have greater strength and muscle energy to push heavy weights. The end result will be more muscle gained, more fat lost, and greater definition not only in your abs, but throughout the rest of your body too.

You really can’t fake your way to a defined midsection and body. Be aware that supplements can help, but a well-rounded approach that also involves proper dieting and training is always going to be the best bet for attention-grabbing abs.
